Orbits - A New Tragedy Of The Commons

A simple glance at history tells the story: humans tend to defer proper stewardship of that which belongs to everybody. Our predecessors fell victim to this natural tendency long before current living generations inherited the earth.

Today’s world is more connected and capable than ever before. An immense opportunity now presents itself for current generations to take action against this natural course. As responsible stewards of a vital and newly-tapped natural resource (earth’s orbital environment), our goal is to be remembered favorably in the eyes of future generations.

If under our watch we do not make this leap, we will join so many who have come before us and for whose actions the world continues to pay.

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

~George Santayana

“We Must Be Bold…”

“Space can be explored and mastered… without repeating the mistakes that man has made in extending his writ around this globe of ours.”

~John F. Kennedy
